Modern digital infrastructure relies on the security and reliability of electronic communications. In this context, the National Node and the Signature Node constitute its fundamental pillars. The National Node serves as the central repository of trusted data and certificates, the key to online identity verification. The Signature Node, in turn, is a specialized element responsible for creating and verifying electronic signatures, ensuring the integrity and authenticity of documents. Their synergy creates a coherent system that enables secure digital transactions and processes nationwide.
Working at the Centre for Information Technology, I had the honor of co-creating these strategic systems. My primary responsibility focused on integrating the National Node and the Signature Node with Trusted Profile 2.0.
The Challenge
The main challenge was to ensure that user actions in the Trusted Profile, requiring authorization via electronic signature, were intuitive, secure, and compliant with the highest user experience standards. The goal was to create seamless and understandable paths that precisely guided the user through the process of confirming actions with a signature.
My Role and Process
My work involved the detailed design of user paths and scenarios for actions performed in the Trusted Profile that directly required interaction with Nodes. I emphasized each step where the user had to confirm an operation with a signature to ensure full authorization and security.
I prepared complete paths in Hi-Fi mockups for project stakeholders, as well as for the development and test teams. This allowed for early visualization of interactions, gathering feedback, and rapid iteration before the actual development began. This ensured that every element of the interface was well-thought-out and optimized for usability and user understanding.
Results
The integration of the National Node and Signature Node with Trusted Profile 2.0 contributed to increased security and comfort in citizens’ digital transactions. My Hi-Fi mockups and clearly defined user journeys significantly accelerated the development and testing process, minimizing the risk of errors and ensuring a consistent user experience across such a critical platform.
