Redesign of the mgr.farm Portal: Modern Platform for Pharmacists
mgr.farm – I am a pharmacist a leading Polish portal with industry news, dedicated to pharmacists and pharmaceutical technicians, belonging to the farmacja.net Group. Due to the dynamic development of the website and technological progress in the entire Group, I was involved in a comprehensive reconstruction of the portal.
I designed and created mgr.farm from scratch. The key decision was to move away from the Drupal platform in favor of WordPress as the engine of the website. This change allowed for a significant increase in the flexibility and convenience of use for the editorial team and also ensured much lighter and faster operation for users. During the implementation of the project, I also focused on SEO optimization of the entire website – despite the gate verifying users, the content is indexed by search engines. Another important aspect was integration with other websites belonging to the farmacja.net Group, which included, among others, an original comment system connecting all websites and feeding other platforms with content from mgr.farm without generating duplicates.
The effect of these activities is, among others, the inclusion of content from the portal in sources recommended by Google, which significantly increased the number of visitors.
